Duality Versus Unity Consciousness
Want to know the difference? Let us tell you. Here we'll give you some examples.
Duality consciousness aligns with the third and fourth dimensions. Unity consciousness aligns with the fifth dimension. That is the goal of every soul who has chosen to ascend to 5D. It's possible in the fourth dimension to flip back and forth between the two different consciousnesses depending on how much you are still of old beliefs or aligned with your soul.
Ivo: Understand that it is possible to align with unity consciousness while in a fourth dimensional body because duality has two polarities: positive and negative. That's what many lightworkers who are waiting to “go to 5D” are doing right now. It is a question of allowing the soul to shine through in your daily lives. Your physical bodies, being the slowest form of energy in your light body, will be the last to transform.
Example Number 1:
Your friend shows you their new car and wants your opinion of it.
The duality consciousness person who is trapped in their negative ego, their shadow, will look at the car critically and then point out what they don't like about it. They may secretly be jealous that their friend now has a better car than they do. They may begin to question whether their friend has made the right choice, they may begin to look critically at the car and question whether it is mechanically sound or perhaps their friend should have purchased more features, etc. Anything but be happy for their friend.
The positive ego may look at the car and shrug and say, “Yeah. I like it.” Not empathizing at all with their friend, only coming from their own perspective, and since it's not their car, they're not too worried about it. Perhaps they will ask to go for a ride.
Ivo: The unity consciousness person will look at the car and be reminded that God provides, life is wonderful and they are so happy for their friend because their friend is happy. They will share in their friend's joy.
The unity consciousness person is empathic, using more means of communicating than just intellect alone.
The difference here is that the duality consciousness is focused on what “I” think, coming from their own singular perspective. The unity consciousness person realizes that we are all One, and that a friend who is happy with their new acquisition is not only a boost of Light for this planet, but a boost for all of humanity. The unity conscious mind is displaying the qualities of kindness and gratefulness, because life is something to be grateful for. They are not about to rain on the parade of their friend – no, they celebrate in the happy acquisition of their friend.
The person of Unity consciousness knows there is far more than what meets the eye. The person of duality consciousness tends not to look any farther than what they see before them, and uses old worn out beliefs based on only a physical presence of humankind, coming from their own singular viewpoint.
Example Number 2:
A woman with children is having a hard time and must go to the food bank to supplement their diet for a few months.
The dualistic negative ego would say something like, “If she wasn't so stupid and would go get a job, and stop giving those kids so many toys, if she started to run her house better and would stop spending so much time with all her boyfriends, who only come over to eat her food and take her money, she wouldn't have these problems.”
Completely narcissistic, egotistical, arrogant, toxic, non-compassionate response. Who cares about other people? I'm doing okay and I'm a lot smarter than this woman is, obviously, so this gives me the right to diss her. Of course, I'm such a coward I'd never say this to her face. To her face, I'd fake being nice because I want her to like me. What I do behind her back doesn't matter.
The dualistic positive ego might go and offer this woman advice. Or maybe this ego will try to rescue the woman.
Ivo: The Unity consciousness would have compassion for the plight of this woman and would help her in any way possible. The unity consciousness person will know how to set boundaries and how not to be taken advantage of. The unity consciousness person would be kind and empathetic, but would not rescue. Rescuing is a part of the Victim Triangle, which relates to the third dimension. People have to learn their own lessons, and there are some people who need help only as a temporary stopgap until they get back on their feet again. Others are in a perpetual crisis and these people need to learn how to fish, rather than be fed fishes by others. They need to be taught how to care for themselves.
The unity consciousness person will be disciplined enough to know when to help and when not to. They love unconditionally, forgiving or never taking offense to what others say or do, but they do not live unconditionally. They have to have boundaries to create safety and peace for themselves otherwise suffer soul fragmentation.
Example Number 3:
A person asks a question on social media indicating they are lacking in knowledge on a particular subject.
The duality consciousness negative ego is delighted at the opportunity to try to crush someone's self esteem into the ground, and to make someone else look stupid. Because they feel this makes them look better than the other person. It doesn't.
The duality consciousness positive ego might just pass the opportunity to help by and scroll to the next post.
Ivo: The unity consciousness person recognizes that someone needs help and they are asking, and this is important – that they ask, so that makes them open to receiving assistance. They understand that helping another out is helping out the rest of humanity, and they attempt to do so. However, they understand their own boundaries and limits, and do not allow the person to become dependent on them. They answer the question and perhaps direct the person to other sources of information, and then that's it. They remain open to helping as much as they can. They give honest answers and are grateful for the opportunity to help. They are also patient with those they are teaching.
Me: What I do is I expect others to do their part. If they're not going to work with me, and expect me to do it all, then it's no deal. I also understand where I cannot help and admit it.
I saw a beautiful example of a woman with a huge heart running a race. It was a video I'd seen, and what happened was another runner had cramped up maybe in the stomach or something, right near the finish line. The woman with the heart slowed down and put her arm around the ailing runner, and walked the both of them over the finish line. It gave me goose flesh! How unimportant winning was to this woman when someone else was suffering. Would the other woman have done the same thing if the tables were turned? Maybe not, but that didn't matter to this obviously unity consciousness runner.
Example Number Four:
A man goes out in the winter time without a coat on and comes down with the flu a couple days later.
His wife, a negative dualistic thinker, blames him for being so stupid, he should've known better, now she has to take time out of her busy day to nurse him back to health. He shouldn't have been so dumb!
His other wife, LOL, a positive dualistic thinker, thinks: “Well I do love him. He takes care of me and so I should do the same. Last week he brought in all the firewood that keeps our house so warm. He works hard and so he'll get sick once in a while. I'm there to support him.”
Ivo: This is a dutiful approach. Relationships are seen as physical, emotional and mental exchanges. Often scorecards are kept in relationships like these, as she is saying here. He does things for her, so she should do things for him. She owes him. This is not an attitude of being of service to others, it is an attitude of doing for others as is done for you. The opposite of that is the vengeful “eye for an eye” mentality.
The Unity thinker believes, “I am here to serve all. I am here to serve God. It is my pleasure to help where it is possible for me to be of service. Whether it be my ailing husband, or an animal in need, I am there to help wherever possible because I know to help others is to help all.”
Me: Yup. Let's do some more.
Ivo: Very well.
A doctor is helping a patient. This duality doctor's approach to the patient is that they are a physical body. They have an intestinal problem, for example. The doctor gives pain relievers and recommends a product to relieve gas.
The negative duality doctor will cook up an excuse to do an expensive internal examination, knowing it is unnecessary, because they need to go on a Caribbean vacation this winter and they're a bit short of funds. This doctor is greedy, self serving and exploitative and does not take the patient's needs into account as much as their own.
A wholistic, unity consciousness doctor will look at the patient and understand that this patient is not only a whole being with all organs functioning in harmony, that patient is also part of a larger wholeness of life in the galaxy, multiple universes and a part of God, a part of the All. They understand this intestinal problem to be more complex, and that many different means of restoring the health of the patient can be utilized. They address mental issues, knowing that stress is often felt in the gut. How has the patient been stressed out lately? What is going on that they can change to reduce stress? They send the patient to a reiki master, to return the chi to proper circulation. They recommend calming and stress reducing exercises, meditation and leisurely walking.
Example Number Five:
A yoga instructor is not making much money doing their service. They decide to up their game and begin to pitch to a new market – the starseed community. They put up a website, put up a facebook page, and a youtube channel and start to pitch their business to starseeds.
The negative polarity duality thinker will use that opportunity to hike their rates, and will begin to use The Event or other key “crisis points” in earth's ascension journey to capitalize on. They will tell people to take advantage of their service before the door to 5D closes. They will tell people that without their service, their opportunity to reach 5D is very slim.
The positive polarity dualistic thinker will put their ads out, try to attract new customers and try to help people, but the people will always be a customer to them and a means of gaining income.
The Unity consciousness thinker will provide as much free information as possible to enable people to help themselves. This person hopes that the more they give, the more others will benefit. Financial gain is not their motive – ascending the earth and the greater good of all is.
Example Number Six:
A man walks into a restaurant, and, despite his mask, manages to smile at an attractive woman serving behind the counter. They chat. He returns to the restaurant a few times and decides to ask her out on a date. She accepts. They meet up that night and go out to dinner, then to a movie. All the time trying to communicate through cotton polyester blend masks. After the movie, she invites him back to her apartment. He accepts.
Negative Polarity: Sure enough, when they go back to her place, she gets into something more comfortable and walks out in a sexy negligee. The negative polarity dualistic male has figured he's just hit paydirt. It's booty time, baby! So glad he paid for her $12.00 fried chicken with cole slaw special because now it's payback time. Sure enough, they get it on and he never sees her again. The next time she meets a man, she's back at it, taking him home when she hardly knows his name. This man, as well as that woman, don't care about others, they just use them for whatever they need from them. These people are exploitative. To both of them, others are basically worthless and disposable. It's because they harbour the same feelings about themselves – that of being worthless – that they behave this way.
The male positive dualistic thinker is a bit curious but he goes to her apartment. They have a conversation, without masks on, they share a couple drinks and at 2 a.m. he leaves. He calls her a couple days later and invites her out on another date. He figures he'll take time to get to know her and she figures the same. Both of them, while getting to know each other, leave out some details for when the other person might be more understanding of them, but some details never get discussed at all – relevant details a person considering marrying them might want to know. Like criminal records, inability to conceive, alimony payments, former marriages, etc etc. They both set up a conditional relationship with the other – based on their unawareness of key facts, maybe even game changers, that their partner needs to know.
The unity thinker, well that's easy. I'll just describe Ivo. Always grateful to be in contact with me, consistently loving, lets me learn what I need to, and does not intervene when it's important not to. Intervenes when he should. Unconditionally loving. I feel very secure in my relationship with him. He is fearless, does not see himself as limited. Sees the two of us as two individuals in a relationship, not two halves making one whole relationship. Ivo is not possessive or jealous, he is self assured in his relationship with me, which makes him easy to love. He is extremely confident, easy going, and has a dry sense of humour that comes up at interesting times.
I'd like you to consider in all of these examples, which way society is prompting us to behave.
